HI, I'M KENDRA!  I am a photographer living in Kincardine with my partner, Matt and two boys, River and Indy.  I’m definitely an outdoorsy person, our whole family is, which sealed the deal on moving to this great beach community where the sunsets over Lake Huron are famous.  While my boys like to be moving at top speeds, as loudly as possible, I prefer to strap on a pair of snowshoes and enjoy the quiet crunch of snow at Stoney Island Conservation area.

I am passionate about literacy, libraries, and curating an amazing picture book collection and now that my kids are a bit older, I have been able to get back to reading for myself.  I have a goal of enjoying 35 books in 2023.

While I was interested in photography before having kids, it was their births that spring-boarded my compulsion to capture it all.  I was desperate to remember the little things.  I still am.  Becoming a mom has made me more empathetic to and curious about other families.  Being a parent is a struggle.  We try so hard without ever knowing if we're doing it right.  It drives my need to photograph other families and show moms that they are enough.

Yeah, so that’s me.  Slowly but surely we are getting to know Kincardine and Bruce County and I can’t wait to meet so many more families in the area through photography.  If you connected to anything I’ve said I would love to chat and see if we can capture some memories together.  If you just want to chat about the best books you’ve read lately or what you are growing  in your garden this year, I would definitely be up for that too.
