September has a different kind of light and while fall beach sessions are great, photos at home are my favourite.

This year I am offering Dog Days Sessions. 45 to 60 minutes at your home. Your backyard, your front yard, your driveway, your front steps. Play-based, unhurried, completely unposed. Morning light or after-dinner golden hour only and I only have the capacity for 4 sessions this year.

The Details

$250 - your session and you recieve 10 hand-edited images of your choice

add $100 - full gallery upgrade, you get every image I edit

45 to 60 minutes - at your home

Evenings (one hour before sunset) or Mornings (for those early risers, ie. toddlers!)

September only - Kincardine and area

What actually happens

I arrive at your home and spend a few minutes chatting. Then your family just does what they do. I follow the kids. I stay out of the way. If something is happening, I am there. If nothing is happening, we find something.

There is no posing, if you are sitting together, great, if not, great. No asking everyone to look at the camera unless you want to. No coordinating outfits or cleaning up the yard or stressing about whether the garden looks presentable. Your yard in September, with all its end-of-summer evidence, the slightly overgrown beds, the chalk that has almost faded, the trampoline that had the best summer of its life is exactly right.

The whole session is 45 to 60 minutes. It almost always feels shorter than that, because nobody is standing around waiting for direction. We are just in it.
